SM Audition

My audition

As many know I auditioned for SM Entertainment this past month and... Well I thought you guys might enjoy seeing what it was like.

I had an online friend I met through Yahoo Answers, and I read that he was auditioning for SM soon. So contacted him and asked if he'd be able to give me a ride to LA. He was extremely kind and agreed right away.

We pushed back the audition date so instead of doing it in August we moved into September.

Finally we got the date. The 18th of September.

He told during that week, that he was going to audition and if I wanted the ride that would be then. I wasn't nearly ready so I asked if we could wait until the week after.

But do to his busy life he was unable.

So pushed myself to getting finished with my dance, my singing I didn't really worry much about since I've been taking lessons. But my dance wasn't nearly finished. So I got Victoria (my sister) to help me get it done. So again and again I worked on it. And truth be told I never completely finished it. :(

We'll anyway, the 18th came super quick.

My friend from Yahoo Answers, Jimmy, came to my house around 12:00 PM.

My dad and sister Joanna were both going with me so we had to wait a bit until Dad was ready. Then we set off around 12:30PM.

We traveled up to LA, and we knew we were getting close when we saw a thick haze. Yep we were going in the right direction.

We arrived at the place and found the building went inside and found the office room! It was a neat and modern room that was rather small which made my nervousness disappear.

We were over an hour and a half early so we wait around and practiced our dances.

I remember stretching and doing the splits while try to smile at the camera. Its extremely painful doing te splits so when your having to smile at the camera and do the splits.... lets say your smile is often not very real.

It was coming close to 3:00PM which is when the auditions opened.

Two Korean girls came and wait outside with us for a bit, and later another girl came.

Then finally the lady in charge of the audition showed up and let us all in.

She was extremely nice and told us to fill out this application. I had to write down a lot of things, thankfully I had printed out everything I need to know. Address, Phone Number, etc. I mean when you move so often I can't always remember those sorts of things.

I finished but I didn't want to audition right off.

Another girl went in before me while the rest of use sat waiting.

During that time another Asian guy showed up all dressed up and quickly filled out the application and asked if he could go next as he had to hurry to a job interview. Of course we were quick to let him go.

So finally it came to my turn. I was second to the last as my friend Jimmy wanted me to go first.

I went in and handed the lady my application.

She hand my this sticker with some numbers told me to put it on the left side of my shirt, and then I had to stand on this blue tap and look into the camera and nowhere else.

I had to introduce myself, say the number on my shirt, and then what I was auditioning for.

I started off with singing, I sang reflections from Mulan.

I then modeled, and I had to do the catwalk, strike 6 poses total. It wasn't pictures it was all a movie so I'm not sure they looked good.

Then I did my dance. Which I did forget a part, but I did better than I expected. And I just went with the music so I think I was fine.

And that was it. She asked if I had any questions, I did but it was nothing cool, and so then I left.

And that was my audition! I had a great time and I wouldn't mind doing it again!
