Our Christmas... pile...

I took the picture right after lunch. I think the tree looks stocked.

I just took this picture and I asked Mom and Elizabeth if we had all the presents wrapped.
They replied very tiredly "No."

We've all been wrapping presents all day today and yesterday.
Some are a little tired of it but I mean it means there's more gifts for everyone!!! :D

P.S. It was noted by Joanna that the pictures don't show what it really looks like. It looks as if there should be at least 50 more.... I agree.
You guys need to see it.

Very Hard

Does anyone know how hard it is to write posts?
Seriously... I've been trying and trying to get the Quirks of the Pau Girls done, but its rather hard as I need their help getting this all done. (bluh)
If this next post a few months late don't be surprised.

Fond regards,

THE BROKEN WINDOW

(This is a commercial before the Quirk Post)
This might seem long or boring but it's a MUST READ!
You can only complain after reading the whole thing through.

LET US begin with the simplest illustration possible:
let us, emulating Bastiat, choose a broken pane of
glass.
A young hoodlum, say, heaves a brick through the window
of a baker's shop. The shopkeeper runs out furious,
but the boy is gone. A crowd gathers, and begins to stare
with quiet satisfaction at the gaping hole in the window
and the shattered glass over the bread and pies. After a
while the crowd feels the need for philosophic reflection.
And several of its members are almost certain to remind
each other or the baker that, after all, the misfortune has
its bright side. It will make business for some glazier. As
they begin to think of this they elaborate upon it. How
much does a new plate glass window cost? Fifty dollars?
That will be quite a sum. After all, if windows were never
broken, what would happen to the glass business? Then,
of course, the thing is endless. The glazier will have $50
more to spend with other merchants, and these in turn
will have $50 more to spend with still other merchants,
and so ad infinitum. The smashed window will go on providing
money and employment in ever-widening circles.
The logical conclusion from all this would be, if the crowd
drew it, that the little hoodlum who threw the brick, far
from being a public menace, was a public benefactor.
Now let us take another look. The crowd is at least right
in its first conclusion. This little act of vandalism will in
the first instance mean more business for some glazier. The
glazier will be no more unhappy to learn of the incident
than an undertaker to learn of a death. But the shopkeeper
will be out $50 that he was planning to spend for
a new suit. Because he has had to replace a window, he
will have to go without the suit (or some equivalent need
or luxury). Instead of having a window and $50 he now
has merely a window. Or, as he was planning to buy the
suit that very afternoon, instead of having both a window
and a suit he must be content with the window and
no suit. If we think of him as a part of the community,
the community has lost a new suit that might otherwise
have come into being, and is just that much poorer.
The glazier's gain of business, in short, is merely the
tailor's loss of business. No new "employment" has been
added. The people in the crowd were thinking only of two
parties to the transaction, the baker and the glazier. They
had forgotten the potential third party involved, the tailor.
They forgot him precisely because he will not now enter
the scene. They will see the new window in the next day
or two. They will never see the extra suit, precisely because
it will never be made. They see only what is immediately
Visible to the eye.

Happy Birthday Emily Sanderlin!

Okay I'll admit I forgot to send her a birthday card. So this is to make up.

Happy 19th Birthday!

I was going to try posting this (secret) nice post but it didn't get finished in time so I guess you all just have to wait.

I'll give you the title of the next post and that will be it.

Blogger is having some extreme problems

Blogger is having some extreme problems so if you're wondering why the post below looks funny is because of blogger.

I'm afraid I've been caught during a busy time, so I'll make this quick

(I'm very busy envisioning my Birthday coming up on the 18th of this month) Well have anyone of you ever dreamed of being in musical group? If you all said no then don't bother reading any further. Those who have at least had a small dream of this or perhaps are interested read on. While my sister was having her singing lesson my teacher suddenly got the idea to create a Christian music group with our girl friends. So here is some more background information about this idea Some of you might remember wanted to try out for an entertainment company in Korea. The company debuts singers, dancers, actors, models, and most often times it was a group of either boys or girls that would sing and dance. Here are some details about the whole idea My singing teacher, Jennylyn, suggested finding some friends that played instruments or had some musical talent or gift. So like, I would be in the group as a singer. Some of you guys play musical instruments which would add to the a great deal to the group. Perhaps some of you are interested but are thinking "When would I ever find the time?" Well we could coordinate once or twice a month to practice. My idea would be at my house. Saturdays? Sunday afternoons? Whatever would work for those of you that are interested. I mean my family is extremely flexible so it would all depend on you. What our group would need Besides singers, some possible instruments would be piano, violin, flute, harp, etc. And then the hardest job! ~ Composer: someone to write music to the songs we write. Our goal To bring glory to the Lord and bring joy and happiness to others. What exactly would we do? Besides doing our own original music, we could do other sacred songs and offer to perform for weddings and funerals, etc. Let me know what you think! I know you people are very busy but if you're interested even in the slightest, please feel free to contact me and we can talk about it at church.

New... actually old pictures

I do have more of these old pictures. I just didn't post them.

Here's a picture of a horse.

It just so happens I'm on the horse.

This is my Dad's favorite picture. Alright one of his favorites.

When looking at other pictures of me you'll understand why this one is so good.

Just finished Pre-Excel and got my picture taken with my counselor.

Actally she was only my counselor on the last day. The other one was working the night before and slipped breaking her leg, thus she was unable to teach us.

This was taken nearly 10 years ago when I turned 9.

Our family went to the air show. It was extremly hot and humid. For those who have never been out to the midwest durning the summer...

Well its like swimming through air.

We got matching dresses!

(I also noticed I had a habit of bitting my bottom lip in pictures)

Christmas 1999.

Our family along with Grandma.

(If you notice I'm bitting my lip again)

Not to bad of a pose.

But when you're wearing a nice and large winter coat...

lets say the effect is ruined somewhat.

This is the 'little girls' at the hospital. Elizabeth had just been born and so we were visiting Mom and our new sister.

'The little girls' again. This time we are at church. That would be Joanna and Victoria and in the background is me.

If there seems to be a lot of pictures of me in them (which of course there is) I didn't choose the pictures. My Dad gave them to me. :P

Looking at this picture I think we look completly opposite.

A few years again we when to the Huntington Beach Pier with Grandma.

Grandma's House (Front)

Grandma's House (back)

Pictures!

Here's some pictures!

Try to enjoy them even if they seem rather random.

I'm wearing a dress my mom made back when she was my age.

(At least I think it was)

This is Victoria standing in our back yard in Soquel, CA. Standing against are large redwood.

This would be me standing in our creek

(that tree you see in the background is the same as the one Victoria is standing against.)

Muir Drive, the road we live on in Soquel. The messy jungle on the right side is our land.
(That would be Victoria walking)

This is Muir Drive again.

That is the front gate to our home in Soquel. 100 Muir Drive.

I was looking through my pictures and came across these.... So I just had to post it.

(That's Joanna and that was me up before)

Josiah was playing hide and seek with Victoria but ended up falling asleep before Victoria remember that they were playing.

San Jose, CA. 2006

Dad standing in the back yard next to our orange tree holding little Josiah.

That house was probably my favorite, it was a huge upgrade from our previous house in Rock Island, IL.

Hey Everyone!

I want to apologize to everyone for not posting about my visit to IL and IA.
And I sincerely apologize saying I would… and now backing out.
I can’t really write about my visit as it would be boring and worthless to over half of you out there so I’ve decided to write about something else. (Truth be told... I can't remember what all happened)
I want to write about something where nearly everyone can relate or at least enjoy reading.

I’m thinking of ideas, so I hope you can all be patience.

Update coming... soon???

Okay by request I will try to update my blog with a post about me.
Sounds strange and I'm having a huge mental block.
But as soon as it clears up I'll try to find something interesting to write about... myself...???
